Progressive path of Amrit College

Smt. Amrit Kunwar College Atrakalan (Jalaun) was established in the year 2001 with the idea of ​​spreading higher education in the rural estate. From its inception to the present, the college has been climbing the ladder of achievements. Teaching in seven subjects (Hindi literature, English literature, political science, defence studies, history, home science and music playing) started from the year 2001 under the Faculty of Arts a B.A course.

In the year 2002, under the Faculty of Science as a B.Sc course, teaching started in Mathematics and Biology

In the year 2004, the college extended its progress into two phases. In the first phase, the Faculty of Agriculture was recognized and 45 acres of agricultural land was reserved as an agricultural farm. In the same year, teaching work started in three additional subjects namely Economics, Sociology and Geography.

In the year 2006, the college was accredited to operate two faculties namely B.Ed and B.P.Ed. Under which we got permission to intake 50 students in B.P.Ed and 100 students in the B.Ed course under the NCTE guideline.

Presently, teaching work is being done smoothly in the college by 78 qualified and energetic professors and 15 clerical and 10 class IV staff are working in the college for other services. The college has a library equipped with about 10,000 books and journals to increase the study quality of students and the availability of state-of-the-art information. In addition to books, a complete "audio-visual system" has also been installed.

For practical knowledge of practical subjects, laboratories of experimental disciplines of arts, science and agriculture faculties are fully equipped with modern equipment.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) and Rovers-Rangers Program are being duly operated for the all-round development of the students in the college. Three units of the National Service Scheme are presently operational.

Due to the college being in the rural area, the bus is operated by the college on the Orai-Jalaun Attarakalan road for the convenience of the students.

To establish the bright achievements of the college in rural areas, Ramakrishna Pal Singh as Chairman of the College Management Committee and Manager, Ch. Vishnupal Singh are also currently discharging their duties diligently. With the efforts of all these, the college will continue on the progress path with endless possibilities.
