The full form of BA is Bachelor of Arts. BA is an extremely popular undergraduate course that students pursue right after their class 12th. Bachelor of Arts (BA) is a 3-year undergraduate degree offered by our college. The course is considered as a foundation course for students who want to make their career in the field of Social Science and Humanities. It is offered in a variety of Social Science and Humanities subjects at a majority of colleges in India

Bachelor of Arts is usually of 3 years duration. We follow the semester system of evaluation.
Bachelor of Arts allows a student to study a combination of 9 subjects. These subjects are generally related to Humanities and Social Sciences. All 9 subjects are electives. Students have to select their subjects from a wide array of subjects on offer. Each semester, students are supposed to select 3 out of 9 subjects. There are 2 to 3 compulsory minor papers every semester in which students have to pass. Students can only take 1 language out of 2. In the case of electives, students can only take 3 subjects in 1 & 2 years but in the final year, one has to only choose 2 core subjects out of 3. The student must have 75% attendance in each course for appearing in the examination. Students who have 74% to 65% of attendance shall apply for condonation in the prescribed form with the prescribed fee.
Students who have 64% to 50% of attendance shall apply for condonation in the prescribed form with the prescribed fee along with the Medical Condition Certificate. Students who have below 50% of attendance are not eligible to appear for the examination.
This program is predominantly assessed through, class tests, seminar, quiz, assignment, attendance, theoretical exam papers and practical. The internal component of every module compromises of 25% to 30% and external compromises of 70% to 75% depending on a subject. To pass the examination in any semester the candidate must obtain an overall score of 50% which is strictly required.
The eligibility criteria for a BA course specify that candidates should have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board. Apart from this, some colleges also specify that aspirants should have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks at their Class 12 level in order to be eligible to pursue a BA course offered to them.
Our tuition fee is in accordance with the Bundelkhand University guideline. The college shall charge only such fee as prescribed by the State Government or Bundelkhand university concerned in accordance with the provision of Bundelkhand University and shall not charge in any way the donation and capitation fee etc. from the student.
Our college is just a medium through which the government of Uttar Pradesh and Bundelkhand University provide scholarships to our students. We in no manner influence their decision on scholarship.
Amrit college does not provide scholarships to its students.
After completing a BA course, candidates can pursue an MA course in the same discipline in which they pursued their graduation. Candidates who want to make a career as a teacher can opt for a B.Ed. course after completing their BA degree. Apart from these options candidates are informed that after completing their BA course they become eligible to appear for government exams.
Candidates pursuing a Bachelor of Arts course can further opt for higher studies or seek employment in any of the public or private sectors. For students who wish to pursue higher studies, after the completion of Bachelor of Arts, multiple options are available in India. They can opt for an MA course in any of the subjects they studied as a part of the BA degree. Students who wish to study a professional degree can get into an MBA program at any of the prestigious Management institutes in India. There are still more options available for those vying for a professional degree like CA, CS or ICWA.
Since graduates with a Bachelor of Arts possess skills in a variety of subjects, career opportunities are available in multiple fields for them. A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree holder can work in both the public and private sectors. In the private sector, there is an increasing demand for individuals who can adapt to any kind of work environment and possess analytical abilities along with decision making and good communication ability.
However, aspirants can also opt to pursue a job right after completing their BA course. Some popular job profiles that candidates can pursue after a BA course are:
- Content Writer: In this job profile one needs to research for information on the internet or even through offline sources and create original content for the medium and firm that they are employed at.
- Social Worker: In such a job profile one needs to identify and thereafter help people cope with the problems at hand.
- Airhostess/ Flight Steward: In this job profile, one joins the aviation industry and is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers on board an aircraft. Apart from this, an air-hostess/ flight steward also serves refreshment to passengers on an aircraft.
